Anne
Fitzsimmons was the original founder of ABC
Patterns. Anne first
started selling her quilt/patchwork patterns in 1970 at small
quilt shows in Orange County, California. Previous to beginning
ABC Patterns, Anne taught home economics/sewing in high school,
and taught quilting in adult education.
Anne's
love of quilting lead her to begin her own business, ABC
Patterns, in 1979. ABC Patterns now participates in at least
14 quilt shows per year, selling quilt patterns and giving demonstrations
on various quilting techniques.
Sally
Bertetto, one of Anne's daughters, is now carrying on the family
business and attending quilt shows. Sally has completed many
of Anne's paper-piecing patterns for show demonstrations, and
she enjoys quilting, too. Be sure to stop by and say hello to
Sally if you attend one of our quilt shows in southern California.
Our
quilt booth features our own paper-piecing designs, as well as
our own large and small quilt patterns. Our booth also features
quilt patterns by other quilters, such as Redwork Embroidery
Quilt Patterns, Stained Glass Quilt Patterns, 3-Dimensional Quilt
Patterns, and some applique quilt patterns. |
